2023-2024 Santa Teresa Park Events:
  • First Friday of each month (typically), 9:00 am - 12:00 pm. First Friday Beautification Days. Join us to volunteer and be part of the Santa Teresa community. Volunteer opportunities available include gardening, barn maintenance, and historical house upkeep. Hope to see you at the community volunteer days! Sign up here.
  • Saturday, May 13, 2023, 9:00 am - 12:00 pm. When History and Nature Collide. Join the Friends of Santa Teresa Park volunteers for a moderate 2.5-mile hike. View late spring wildflowers, look for wildlife, take in the gorgeous views, and learn about the rich history area. Meet at the Fortini/Stile Ranch Trailhead with sturdy shoes, sun protection, and water. Questions? (408) 355-2240. 
  • Friday, May 26, 2023, 1:00 pm - 3:00 pm. The Myths About Rattlesnakes. Learn how to survive a rattlesnake encounter. It's easier than you think! Meet at the Bernal Ranch picnic tables with snacks and water. Questions? (408) 225-0225. 
  • Sunday, June 4, 2023, 8:00 pm - 10:00 pm. The Nighttime World is Full of Interesting Sights and Sounds. Join a park ranger to discover the nighttime world in our beautiful park system. Meet at the Pueblo Group Area with layers, water, a fully charged flashlight, and comfortable shoes. Questions? (408) 225-0225.
  • Sunday, June 11, 2023, 10:00 am - 11:30 am. Intro to iNaturalist & Community Science. Are you a budding naturalist or just want to learn about the nature that surrounds you? Join us for an informative program to learn how to use phone apps such as iNaturalist and Seek to identify the natural world, and contribute to community science. Meet at the Bernal Ranch picnic tables. Reservations online. 
  • Friday, June 23, 2023, 5:00 pm - 5:45 pm. Evening With a King. We learn about all kinds of monarchs in history class, but have you ever wanted to hang out with a king...snake? This program offers you and your friends and family the chance to meet Morticia, Santa Clara County Parks' Claifornia kingsnake, and learn why she is so well adapted to the habitats surrounding the Santa Clara Valley and beyond!   • Sunday, June 25, 2023, 8:15 pm - 10:15 pm. The Life of Nocturnal Animals. Join a park ranger led hike and discover the life of nocturnal animals in our beautiful park system.   • Saturday, July 1, 2023, 4:00 pm - 5:00 pm. Walk in the Woods: Field Notes in Nature. Join a Park Interpreter for an afternoon nature walk to the Santa Teresa Spring where you can learn some techniques for field notes, drawing, and nature journaling. Program best for ages 5 and up. Families are encouraged to attend. Meet at the Bernal Ranch picnic benches with a notebook, pens/pencils/markers. Questions? (669) 275-5330.
  • Saturday, September 16, 2023, 4:00 pm - 7:00 pm. La Fuente Mexican Heritage, Santa Teresa/Bernal Ranch. Bernal Ranch is "La Fuente" or "The Origin" for family histories, local economy, and a growing new community.   • Saturday, May 11, 2024, 9:00 am - 12:00 pm. Mothers & Flowers - A Pre Mother's Day Hike. Join the Friends of Santa Teresa Park for a moderate 2.5-mile hike on the Stile Ranch, Mine, and Fortini Trails. You’ll hear stories about mothers who were important to the area’s history and see colorful late-spring wildflowers. Meet at the Fortini Trailhead on San Vicente Avenue off Fortini Road with sturdy shoes, snacks, and water. Leashed, dogs, children, and families are welcome. Registrations requested.
  • Saturday, September 21, 2024, 4:00 pm - 7:00 pm. La Fuente, As part of Hispanic Heritage Month, celebrate the families of the past, present, and future at Bernal-Gulnac-Joice Ranch and their relationship to the Santa Teresa Spring. Evening festivities include music, stories, crafts, and games for all ages. This event is also part of Binational Health Week. No registration required, just come by between 4 pm and 7 pm! Questions?
